Morning & Evening Azkar — Subah o Shaam ke Masnoon Azkaar
These azkaar are recited after Fajr and after Asr (until Maghrib). Each one below is taken from authentic Hadees, with Arabic, transliteration, English and Urdu meaning.
1. Sayyidul Istighfar — the best way of seeking forgiveness
Meaning: "O Allah, You are my Lord, there is no god but You. You created me and I am Your servant… forgive me, for none forgives sins but You." Whoever says it in the morning with certainty and dies that day enters Jannah (Sahih al-Bukhari 6306).
2. Ayatul Kursi
Recited once each morning and evening, and before sleeping. Full text, transliteration and benefits: read Ayatul Kursi.
3. Surah Al-Ikhlas, Al-Falaq and An-Nas (three times each)
The Prophet ﷺ said they suffice a person against everything, morning and evening (Sunan Abi Dawud 5082, Jami' at-Tirmidhi 3575).
4. Dua of the morning
Asbahna wa asbahal-mulku lillah… — "We have entered the morning and the dominion belongs to Allah; all praise is for Allah; there is no god but Allah alone, without partner." (Sahih Muslim 2723). In the evening say Amsayna wa amsal-mulku lillah…
5. Protection from harm (three times)
Bismillahil-ladhi la yadurru ma'asmihi shay'un fil-ardi wa la fis-sama'i wa Huwas-Sami'ul-'Alim — nothing will harm the one who says it three times morning and evening (Sunan Abi Dawud 5088).
6. Daily tasbihaat
- Subhan-Allahi wa bihamdihi — 100 times (Sahih al-Bukhari 6405).
- La ilaha illallahu wahdahu la sharika lah… — 100 times (Sahih al-Bukhari 3293).
- Astaghfirullaha wa atubu ilayh — 100 times daily (Sahih Muslim 2702).
